Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is recruiting a dedicated Supervisor for Defence operations on a part‑time basis (27 hours per week). You will lead frontline staff, ensure goods are checked and stored correctly, and manage weekly rotas while maintaining high standards of customer service and safety.

The role sits within ESS, Compass Group UK's defence, government and energy services, supporting numerous military and government sites with a strong emphasis on staff development and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment.
• Good communication skills with a focus on great customer service.
• Able to work well in a team and maintain a can-do attitude.
• Capable of working under pressure while keeping a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly.
• Supervising a team and creating a positive environment where colleagues feel welcomed.
• Acting as a responsible key holder.
• Assisting with weekly bookwork and other duties as required.
• Producing weekly rotas following the manager's guidelines.
• Placing orders to maintain stock levels and delegating as needed.
• Ensuring compliance with Food Handling & Hygiene standards and Health & Safety regulations.
