Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is recruiting a dedicated Supervisor for Defence operations on a full-time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week with a 50.2-week year. You will lead a frontline team, ensure deliveries are checked and stored promptly, and uphold food safety and health & safety standards.

The role emphasises teamwork, strong customer service, and the ability to work under pressure, with opportunities to progress within the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising frontline teams in a similar environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work under pressure with a positive attitude.
• Team player with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly.
• Supervising a team, creating a positive environment where the team feel welcomed and supported.
• Being a responsible key holder.
• Assisting with weekly bookwork and any other duties that are necessary.
• Producing weekly rotas following the manager's guidelines.
• Placing orders for stock to maintain the correct stock levels.
• Delegating where necessary and ensuring the team are proactive at all times.
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations.
