Job summary

Compass Group UK&I ESS Defence is seeking a part-time Retail Supervisor to help ensure smooth operations in Defence, contracted to 25 hours per week with evening shifts across the week.

You will oversee a frontline team, check deliveries, handle till duties, and contribute to weekly rotas while upholding food hygiene and health & safety standards. The role offers a supportive environment within Defence and government services.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment.
• Good communication skills with a focus on great Customer Service.
• Team player with a can-do attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Check deliveries and store promptly and correctly.
• Supervise a team and foster a welcoming, supportive environment.
• Be a responsible key holder.
• Use the till, take orders and process payments.
• Assist with weekly bookwork and other duties as necessary.
• Produce weekly rotas following the manager’s guidelines.
• Place orders to maintain stock levels.
• Delegate where needed and keep the team proactive.
• Comply with Food Handling & Hygiene standards and Health & Safety regulations.
