Job summary

Promni Health is recruiting a full-time First Contact Physiotherapist (37.5 hours per week) to join our established and experienced team across GP practices in Tottenham, Wood Green, Finchley and Temple Fortune. Travel between practices is required and access to a vehicle is essential.

The role is on-site in GP practices as part of a dynamic MDT with full autonomy and clinical support. You will work with MSK patients using advanced skills including injection therapy and independent prescribing,

Qualifications

• HCPC and CSP registered Physiotherapist.
• Minimum 5 years postgraduate clinical experience.
• Minimum 3 years MSK clinical experience.
• Understanding of the HEE Roadmap to Practice and the MSK Core Capabilities Framework.
• Active CPD portfolio aligned to the four pillars of advanced practice.
• Desirable: MSc Level 7 modules; qualified independent prescriber; qualified injection therapist.

Responsibilities

• Independently assess, diagnose, and manage MSK presentations, including complex cases.
• Request investigations such as imaging and blood tests, and make appropriate referrals.
• Create tailored self-management plans that support behavioural change and longterm recovery.
• Use your full scope of practice, including prescribing and injection therapy (where qualified).
• Record utilisation data daily and collect Patient Satisfaction Questionnaires (PSQs).
• Work as part of a GP-based MDT and build strong relationships with practice staff.
• Educate colleagues on MSK triage pathways and provide informal clinical guidance.
• Support clinical audits and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
• Help shape and refine local MSK care pathways.
