Job summary

Lancaster University Library is seeking enthusiastic Library Service Advisors to respond to enquiries in person and online, supporting students, staff, researchers and community members both on and off-campus.

You will deliver front-line customer service across Library opening hours through existing and emerging channels, helping maintain an outstanding study environment and welcoming presence for all users.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate confidently with colleagues, students, University staff and external contacts.
• Reliability and prior experience of teamwork in a customer-focused role are essential.
• Ability to use initiative and be self-motivated in a front-line service setting.

Responsibilities

• Respond to library enquiries in person and online.
• Support students, staff, researchers and community members both on- and off-campus.
• Provide front-line customer service across Library opening hours and through multiple channels.
• Maintain and develop the Library as an outstanding study environment.
