Job summary

Confidential is seeking an Imports Administrator to join our fresh produce team in Bedfordshire. The role sits at the front end of the supply chain, ensuring customs entries, authority reporting and shipping arrangements are correct so fruit clears on time and moves smoothly.

You’ll work with HMRC, DEFRA, Port Health and other bodies, handling time-sensitive submissions with accuracy and calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• Experience in import, customs, shipping or logistics admin.
• Ability to work under deadlines and stay accurate under pressure.
• Proficient Excel and reliable IT and written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customs entries and report to HMRC and authorities.
• Track vessel schedules and share changes with the business.
• Liaise with shipping lines and port agents on planning and releases.
• Submit daily arrival data to HMRC and manage C18/C285 payments.
• Reconcile duty deferment accounts and invoices from shipping lines.
• Manage certifications and customer reporting/invoicing.
