Job summary

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is inviting applications for multiple Domestic Services positions spanning 30, 25 and 16 weekly hours. These roles cover Cleanliness, Catering and Portering with a shared commitment to high patient care standards and reliable shift coverage across early, late, night and weekend rosters.

Full training will be provided, and staff are expected to uphold health, safety, infection control and hygiene standards in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled role across Cleanliness, Catering and Portering to support hospital services.
• Staff will work shifts including early, late, night and weekend hours as part of a rota.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning hospital areas, transporting patients and equipment, and helping with food service for patients, staff and visitors.
• Follow health and safety rules, infection control procedures and food hygiene standards.
• The job involves physical tasks such as lifting, moving equipment and walking long distances.
• Staff will provide support in emergencies and assist patients, visitors and clinical teams when needed.
