Job summary

Southern Housing seeks an experienced Estate Services Manager to lead frontline estate services across Kent. You will manage teams delivering grounds maintenance, cleaning, waste management and contractor services, ensuring health & safety compliance and high resident satisfaction.

You will oversee day-to-day delivery, conduct estate inspections and collaborate with Housing colleagues to identify issues early and drive service improvements.

Qualifications

• Proven people management and leadership skills, including recruiting, motivating and addressing performance issues.
• Strong understanding of health & safety, risk assessments, COSHH and lone working.
• Solutions-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of value for money and service charges; efficient resource use.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents, colleagues and contractors.
• Attention to detail for estate inspections and identifying repairs or tenancy issues.
• Full UK driving licence with up to six points and at least two years driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontline estate services across the Kent area, including grounds maintenance, cleaning and waste management.
• Oversee day-to-day service delivery and regular estate inspections to ensure high standards.
• Collaborate with contractors and Housing teams to resolve issues and improve resident satisfaction.
• Ensure health & safety compliance, effective use of resources and ongoing service improvement.
• Work from the Sittingbourne office and attend meetings at other locations as required.
