Job summary

Southern Housing is seeking an Estate Services Cleaner to join our frontline team, helping to keep communal areas clean, safe and welcoming for residents across East Sussex. This hands-on role requires reliability and safety awareness, and the ability to work independently or as part of a small team under the Estate Services Manager.

You will use provided tools and equipment, log repairs and health and safety issues, and carry out physically demanding cleaning tasks.

Qualifications

• Cleaning experience in communal or similar environments.
• Experience of working alone and in a small team.
• Basic understanding of health and safety and safe systems of work.
• Ability to undertake physically demanding tasks.
• Friendly, polite and professional when dealing with residents and visitors.
• Confident using a smartphone to access emails and log repairs or health & safety issues.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to drive company vehicles; licence checks on pre-employment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high quality cleaning service across internal and external communal areas.
• Identify repairs or health and safety issues and log them.
• Work under the Estate Services Manager and follow safety procedures.
• Use provided tools, machinery and equipment to perform duties.
