Job summary

Premier Inn is looking for a Duty Manager to help lead the York North West team and keep the hotel running smoothly. You’ll cover reception, housekeeping and restaurant duties, ensuring guests have a great stay and that your team has what it needs.

Pay is up to £13.86 per hour with a permanent contract and 37.5 guaranteed hours per week. This is a hands-on, on-the-floor role designed for leaders who stay calm under pressure and enjoy solving problems.

Qualifications

• You don’t need hotel experience, but you should be confident leading people in a busy customer-facing environment.
• If you've led people before, we can teach you the hotel.
• Any role involving leading teams in fast-paced service is suitable.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts across the hotel and provide clear pre-shift briefings
• Support and coach team members throughout the day
• Help guests with questions and resolve issues
• Jump in to support different teams from reception to the restaurant
• Spot issues early and fix them
• Help keep guests safe and the hotel running smoothly
• Work closely with the Hotel Manager and leadership team
