PagerDuty, Inc. is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (SRE Agent) to join our customer-focused team.

You will work inside the largest customer accounts, connecting the SRE Agent to production environments and guiding teams from AI-assisted incident response to autonomous actions with safety guardrails. The role combines hands-on engineering with client-facing leadership, shipping agentic systems to production, and contributing code back to the core product while shaping how AI operates for

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building and shipping production software across team boundaries.
• Hands-on experience with LLM and agent systems in production.
• Customer-facing skills: able to run technical design sessions and present business cases.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and navigating high-ambiguity environments.
• A track record of shipping software that gets adopted and scaled.
• Experience with Terraform or Pulumi at scale, GitOps (ArgoCD), CI/CD design, progressive delivery.
• Willingness to travel 25-50% during active customer engagements.

Responsibilities

• Embed and drive SRE Agent adoption with 2-4 strategic customer teams onsite.
• Build and contribute reusable agent tools, connectors, and skills.
• Run pilots, gather eval data, and unblock customer adoption with production fixes.
• Integrate SRE Agent with IaC, GitOps, CI/CD pipelines and observability platforms.
• Define 3-6 month technical roadmaps and capture customer feedback for the core team.
