Job summary

Inspired Thinking Group (ITG) in Birmingham is seeking a Lead Front End Developer to design and maintain a range of web-based products for high-profile brands.

You’ll work in a cross-functional, agile team, using React, Typescript, and modern tooling, while mentoring others and integrating AI tooling like Cursor to accelerate delivery.

This role emphasizes collaboration, code quality, and staying ahead of market trends in a fast-paced digital environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience in Typescript, React and ES6+.
• Experience with Redux, Redux Toolkit and Zustand.
• Experience using REST APIs.
• Awareness of accessibility and web performance best practices.
• Familiarity with build tools/bundlers and modern CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with account directors, creatives and clients to ensure on-time delivery.
• Define and execute the development strategy for frontend delivery.
• Mentor and develop other team members.
• Implement and improve working practices and standards.
• Research emerging market trends to stay ahead in the field.
• Collaborate in an Agile team with incremental releases and rapid iterations.
• Leverage Cursor to accelerate delivery, tooling, tests and documentation.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies and conduct code reviews.
• Estimate tasks across a wide range of projects.
• Lead Developers act as Line managers for engineers on the team.
