Job summary

Tide is seeking a Director of Engineering to own the frontend strategy and technical direction for our mobile and web applications. You will lead a team of Engineering Managers and work with Staff Engineers to keep the monorepo healthy, scalable, and aligned with business goals.

In this role you will drive architectural advocacy, champion efficiency, improve release processes, and explore AI-driven enhancements to the client-side experience while balancing performance and maintainability across

Qualifications

Seasoned leadership with experience running large frontend engineering teams.
Ability to debate technical trade-offs and align with business goals.
Strong understanding of frontend best practices and modern release cycles.

Responsibilities

Lead the Client Engineering organisation, owning frontend health and delivery.
Collaborate with Staff Engineers to solve complex architectural challenges.
Drive architectural advocacy, efficiency, observability, and modern release practices.
Explore AI and agentic solutions to improve frontend performance and personalization.
Guide delivery excellence across global product teams.
