Overview

The Manchester Deansgate Hotel is on the lookout for a dynamic Front Office Nights Supervisor. Join the excitement and become part of the IHG Hotels and Resorts family!

Welcome to the Manchester Deansgate Hotel, where modern luxury travel meets the vibrant spirit of Manchester. Nestled in the iconic Beetham Tower, this hotel features 279 elegantly designed rooms with skyline views, including amenities such as Cloud 23, Podium Restaurant, an indoor pool, and a fitness centre. The Manchester Deansgate Hotel will fully transition to the InterContinental brand by 2027, enhancing your stay with our signature luxury and service.

We are looking for someone who can work 39 hours over 5 shifts.

Responsibilities
  • Checking in late-arrival guests and checking out early-departure guests; you will greet guests with a warm and authentic welcome, using Opera to check in guests effectively. Experience in a Nights Reception Supervisor or Reception Supervisor role within a hotel environment with Opera or a similar system is helpful but not essential.
  • Covering duty manager shifts and leading the Nights Team in the absence of a Nights Manager; fully conversant with all hotel emergency procedures, taking responsibility to ensure smooth and safe hotel operation. You will support the team by training, assisting with recruitment, and coaching the team to perform at their best.
  • Dealing with ad-hoc guest requests throughout the night; problem-solving to elevate stays, handling guest requests and service recoveries for any guest complaints to ensure guests leave satisfied.
  • Ensuring the safety of guests and colleagues; focused on maintaining a safe environment, completing relevant checks and recording information via reports. A high attention to detail and understanding of health & safety are a bonus.
  • Completing ad-hoc tasks throughout the night; a varied role involving running reports, manning the reception desk, cleaning and completing checks around the hotel, and helping the team as needed.
