Harper’s is a high‑energy steakhouse in Southampton seeking a Front of House Supervisor. You’ll lead the FOH team, coordinate briefings, drive promotions, and upsell while delivering excellent guest service.

Ideal candidates have hospitality experience, strong communication, and the flexibility to work evenings and weekends. This role offers development opportunities within Upham Inns’ South‑of‑England group.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience.
• Aged 18+ due to licensing requirements.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Confidence and strong decision‑making abilities.
• Great organisation and attention to detail.
• A good knowledge of food, wine and beer.
• The Right to Work in the UK.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Lead, motivate and support the Front of House team throughout service.
• Run pre‑service briefings and ensure the team is confident with menus, drinks, promotions and offers.
• Help drive promotions and maximise sales.
• Coach and encourage team members to deliver great service and confidently upsell.
• Deal with any guest or team issues quickly and professionally.
• Lead by example and set the standard for exceptional customer service.
• Work closely with the kitchen and wider team to ensure service flows seamlessly.
• Support the General Manager and Assistant Managers in running the business effectively.
• Take part in ongoing training and development.
• Learn new skills and progress within the business.
