Job summary

Nottingham City Council is hiring Casual Front of House Assistants to help run the building during shows and the day. You will be a visible, friendly face, greeting patrons, assisting visitors and supporting safety and service across events.

The role is onsite at Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall, with hours from 8.30am to midnight and weekend/evening availability. Pay is £13.28 per hour, plus pension and leave benefits, with flexible working arrangements depending on the assignment.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles and front-of-house settings.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in busy environments.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and visitors throughout shifts.
• Open/lock the building and ensure security at close.
• Receive deliveries and move stock as required.
• Set up function suites and keep areas presentable.
• Work across variable hours including weekends and holidays.
