Location - London (35 Hours per week 7.30am - 3.30pm Monday - Friday onsite)

We are looking for a Front of House Assistant to join our Administration team in our London office and provide a professional and efficient catering service to an office staff of approx. 500.

What's the role?

The Front of House Assistant works under the supervision of the Front of House Team Leader and has an integral role in ensuring the smooth running of the London office as part of a wider Administration team. The Administration team is responsible for reception management, meeting room management, catered lunches, replenishing refreshment areas, cleaning of breakout areas, and much more. Although each member of the team has specific responsibilities, you'll be trained across all roles to enable you to provide assistance and cover if needed to the other team members.

What will you be doing?

  • Ordering, stock control, and rotation of catering and domestic supplies for both general staff requirements and for the client meeting room suite.
  • Accepting, checking, and unpacking incoming deliveries.
  • Ordering and daily distribution of milk supplies to 6 refreshment areas, including the main staff breakout area (The Hub) and the client catering kitchen.
  • Stocking the refreshments areas with consumables and catering equipment. Managing the operation of the self-serve bean-to-cup coffee machines.
  • Responsible for the physical appearance of all refreshment areas, including periodic cleaning throughout the day, loading and unloading dishwashers, and clearing general waste and recycling bins.
  • Delivery of refreshments and sandwich lunches to internal meeting rooms.
  • Assisting within the client meeting room suite as required - setting up refreshments and clearance of same, and assisting with the physical appearance of the client catering kitchen.
  • Stocking internal meeting rooms with stationery, ensuring the correct room layout, and keeping the rooms in good order.
  • Attending local stores to make occasional purchases of catering consumables and equipment.
  • Reporting any required maintenance of catering equipment to the facilities team.
  • During busy periods, the Front of House Assistant may be required to meet and greet clients.

What skills and experience are we looking for?

  • Ideally suited to a person with previous office catering experience.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, either alone or as part of a team with fluctuating workload.
  • Friendly and sociable personality with good communication skills.
  • Able to maintain a high standard of professionalism at all times.
  • Flexibility of hours worked and duties undertaken.
  • Basic IT skills. Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Teams is an advantage.
