Job summary
Matillion Ltd in Manchester is seeking a Frontend Engineer to build production React and TypeScript interfaces for Maia and Maia Teams, applying an agentic-first mindset and validating AI-generated code.
You will shape frontend architecture, drive secure, well-documented code, and work in a hybrid setup with at least 2 days in the office, collaborating across engineering and AI initiatives to deliver high-impact features.
Qualifications
- Experience shipping production React applications with testable, well-documented code.
- Strong TypeScript experience for production components.
- Experience with CI/CD and modern SDLC practices.
- Ability to validate AI-generated code and harden it for production.
- Strong web security knowledge and self-documenting code.
Responsibilities
- Build production React and TypeScript components for Maia and Maia Teams.
- Review and validate AI-suggested code against security and performance bars.
- Break epics into shippable increments and maintain CI/CD flow.
- Shape front-end architecture with component patterns and state management.
- Daily hands-on use of AI coding tools with critical judgement.
- Diagnose and fix issues in a frontend service.
- Work in an Agile environment with CI/CD and version control.
