Matillion Ltd in Manchester is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer (Frontend) to lead architectural excellence for our React-powered UI of the Maia AI Data Automation platform. You will drive scalable patterns, oversee the Design System, and expand micro-frontends across product squads.

You will champion agentic development, working with Product and Engineering leaders to align frontend strategy with Maia's roadmap. Hybrid work, strong compensation, and a fast-paced, innovative environment await.

Qualifications

Expertise in React and TypeScript with strong UI component architecture.
Experience leading frontend projects in SaaS environments.
Strong understanding of design systems and modular frontend architectures.
Proven ability to influence large-scale frontend strategy and architecture.

Responsibilities

Lead the frontend architectural vision for our React-powered platform across product squads.
Own the Design System strategy and micro-frontend architecture for consistency and scalability.
Champion agentic development by integrating AI tools into engineering workflows.
Align frontend strategy with Maia platform roadmap and validate architectural proposals.
Develop engineering capability through coaching and exemplify Matillion's engineering values.
Ensure frontend systems are modular, testable, and secure at scale.
Drive cross-team initiatives like Design Systems or micro-frontends.
Balance long-term maintainability with delivery velocity at an organizational level.
