Job description

We are hiring for Front Desk Transport Clerk

Pay rates: £11.90

Overtime rate: £17.85

Location: Newark, NG24 2NH

Contract Type: Temporary - Immediate start

Shift pattern: 4 days on/4 days off FROM 7am-7pm

Mach Recruitment is recruiting for a Transport Clerk to work in a large warehouse and distribution site in Newark.

The Role:

Your responsibilities as a Front Desk Transport Clerk:

  • Transport Operators are dedicated to transport tasks and should have a good awareness of transport legal compliance.
  • Supporting First Line Managers with accurate and timely daily brief & de-brief of drivers to the GXO standard.
  • Collate all feedback against plan in the daily operations log for use in plan/do/review calls.
  • Tachometers admin & reporting.
  • Preparation & reconciliation of delivery paperwork, Pods etc.
  • Administration of the fleet in line with GXO Policies and Procedures.
  • Administering defect process, tire management, and bookings.
We are looking for people who:
  • Previous experience in a transport operation would be advantageous.
  • Strong customer service/data entry experience.
  • Compliance awareness.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data.
  • Excellent people management skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure.
  • Accuracy.
