Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clerical Officer for the Radiology Booking Services at Preston Healthport. Based at the Community Diagnostic Centre, you’ll be part of a busy team providing a first-class reception service to patients and staff.

You will greet patients, handle post, type letters, and enter data on Trust systems while answering calls and liaising with multiple departments. This role supports efficient patient flow and accuracy in records.

Qualifications

• Good standard of education and IT qualification or related experience.
• English language and Maths GCSE level C or equivalent.
• ECDL or equivalent experience and knowledge of Windows applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide front of house reception service for Radiology Booking Services.
• Meet and greet patients and colleagues; manage post and correspondence.
• Type letters, file reports, and enter data into Trust systems.
• Answer calls and liaise with departments to resolve queries.
• Maintain confidentiality and deliver a high standard of patient care.
