Job summary

Tesco is hiring Customer Delivery Drivers to bring groceries to customers’ homes with a smile and great service. The role is hands-on, varied and involves independent driving with support from managers at base.

Pay starts at £14.18 per hour, rising to £15.45 in M25 stores, with a guaranteed minimum of 16 hours per week and options for 12-hour shifts. Responsibilities include keeping the van clean, loading safely, communicating changes, and ensuring on-time delivery while maintaining high

Qualifications

• Hold a valid UK/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months and no more than 3 penalty points.
• Strong customer service and communication skills for at-home deliveries.
• Ability to work independently with a positive, friendly approach.

Responsibilities

• Keep van and work area clean and organised to ensure correct deliveries.
• Load the van safely and perform checks to ensure roadworthiness.
• Explain order changes or substitutions clearly and handle refunds where needed.
• Handle products with care to maintain quality and customer trust.
• Deliver within the customer’s time slot with warm, doorstep service.
