Job summary

Pertemps Edinburgh Contracts is recruiting Check-In Runners to support a student accommodation provider during Freshers' Week in Edinburgh. You will help new students move into their rooms and ensure a smooth, welcoming arrival.

Duties include carrying luggage, assisting with the check-in process, issuing keys, guiding students around the site, answering routine queries and supporting the accommodation team during busy periods. Shifts are 9am–5pm with weekend work and pay is £14 per hour.

Qualifications

• Friendly, approachable and confident dealing with people.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work in a busy environment.
• Physically capable of lifting and carrying luggage.
• Good communication skills.
• Comfortable climbing stairs when required.

Responsibilities

• Help students move into rooms and carry luggage to their rooms.
• Assist with the check-in process and issue keys/access cards.
• Direct students around the accommodation and provide basic information.
• Answer straightforward queries and provide assistance as needed.
• Support the accommodation team during busy arrival periods.
