Job summary

Orka Financial Ltd in Reading is seeking a French Accounting Manager for a permanent, full-time role. The position offers hybrid working, a £60,000–£70,000 salary plus benefits, and regular travel to Paris.

You will lead a team of around six, oversee reporting, compliance and controls across UK and France, and drive process improvements while collaborating with global finance colleagues.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with at least three years post-qualification experience.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Experience leading finance teams across international or multi-entity environments.
• Comfortable designing and operating robust controls and improving finance processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly management-accounts process and deliver clear, dependable financial information.
• Oversee core accounting activity across payables, receivables, payroll and the general ledger.
• Coordinate statutory reporting, audit and tax deadlines across more than one jurisdiction.
• Review balance-sheet reconciliations and strengthen financial-control procedures.
• Prepare budgets and cash-flow forecasts to support effective decision-making.
• Develop the finance team and build productive relationships with colleagues in the UK and France.
• Help improve finance processes and support the transition of ERP and accounting systems.

The opportunity

This is a broad leadership role for a qualified accountant who can bring structure, pace and sound judgement to a growing international finance operation. You will manage a team of around six while taking ownership of accurate reporting, compliance and the continued improvement of systems and controls.
