Freight Operations Supervisor – Glasgow – Up to £45,000 per annum

I currently have an exciting opportunity for a Freight Operations Supervisor with excellent knowledge of UK road freight and strong leadership skills to join my client’s dynamic team in Glasgow. This role requires strong knowledge of UK roads/haulage and commercial awareness as well as previous experience leading a team.

Job type: Permanent

Hours: Monday – Friday 8-4:30 (occasional on-call)

Salary: Up to £45,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising daily road freight operations, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries across the UK
• Managing existing business & generating new business
• Leading the team
• Liaising with customers and drivers regarding potential delays and provide updated estimates
• Ensure compliance with all transport legislation and company policies

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of UK road/ haulage
• Experience working for a UK based transport/logistics company
• Commercial awareness
• Previous leadership experience
• Organised and able to work on own initiative
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship on offer)
