Job summary

Euro Staffs is seeking a Freight Operations Lead in the United Kingdom to oversee day-to-day freight activities from booking through delivery. You will coordinate import/export operations, support the wider freight team, resolve issues, and maintain service standards across carriers and customers.

You will contribute to a practical, fast-moving logistics environment with hands-on responsibility, helping improve processes as the business grows and ensuring timely, accurate shipments.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, shipping, or international transport operations.
• Strong understanding of import/export processes and freight documentation.
• Excellent organisation and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Confident communication with customers, carriers, and partners.
• Familiarity with freight management systems and tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Freight Coordination: Manage daily air, sea, and road freight movements and monitor shipment progress.
• Operational Leadership: Support and guide freight coordinators while helping prioritise workloads.
• Documentation: Ensure shipping, customs, and transport documents are complete and accurate.
• Issue Resolution: Handle delays, carrier issues, customs queries, and customer escalations.
• Performance Monitoring: Track service levels, shipment status, and operational KPIs.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with customers, carriers, customs agents, warehouses, and internal teams.

Pay:

£38,000.00-£46,000.00 per year
