Job summary

Meridian Business Support seeks a Freight Forwarder in Immingham to coordinate international shipments, manage customs and documentation, and liaise with customers, hauliers and partners. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule (08:45–17:00) and a clear progression path within a growing logistics operation.

The ideal candidate will have freight forwarding experience, knowledge of import/export procedures, and strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a team

Responsibilities

• Coordinate import and export shipments from booking through to final delivery.
• Manage customs formalities and transport documentation.
• Liaise with customers, shipping lines, hauliers and suppliers to ensure smooth shipment movements.
• Track and monitor consignments, resolving any operational issues that arise.
• Maintain accurate customer records and shipment information.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and freight procedures.
• Provide a high level of customer service throughout the shipping process.
• Support the wider operations team in a fast-paced logistics environment.
