Job summary

TransitUK is an expanding European express freight forwarder specialising in time-critical road transport across the UK and Europe. The Freight Account Manager role is based in Maldon and focuses on building strong customer relationships while coordinating UK and European transport solutions.

The ideal candidate has experience in freight forwarding, transport or logistics, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in freight forwarding, transport or logistics.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple jobs simultaneously.
• Good commercial awareness.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience using transport management systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of customer accounts.
• Preparing quotations for UK and European transport.
• Booking vehicles and coordinating collections and deliveries.
• Tracking shipments and providing customer updates.
• Solving transport issues and delivery exceptions.
• Building relationships with existing customers.
• Identifying opportunities to increase revenue within accounts.
• Working closely with operations and transport suppliers.
