Job summary

Catering is seeking a Freelance Site Manager (No.2 on Site) for a Catterick-based project. The role involves supporting the Senior Site Manager in day-to-day operations, supervising subcontractors, and ensuring safe, on-time delivery of accommodation works.

The position is contractually focused on hands-on site leadership and strong coordination across trades. The ideal candidate will have site management experience on infrastructure projects, with MMC/modular exposure preferred and valid site

Qualifications

• Experience in a Site Manager or Assistant Site Manager role on construction or infrastructure projects.
• Background delivering residential, accommodation, or similar schemes.
• Exposure to MMC / modular construction (desirable)
• SC Clearance (advantageous)
• Valid SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold Card), and First Aid

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Site Manager in overseeing daily site operations
• Supervise subcontractors and trades across accommodation builds and facilities
• Ensure adherence to health & safety standards and site procedures
• Assist in managing programme delivery, tracking progress, and reporting updates
• Monitor quality on site, ensuring works meet specifications and standards
• Coordinate materials, logistics, and workforce allocation
• Carry out site inspections, toolbox talks, and daily briefings
• Proactively identify and resolve on-site issues
• Liaise with project teams, consultants, and stakeholders as required
