Job summary

CR1 Group Limited seeks an experienced Freelance Site Manager for a bank refurbishment project in Woking, Surrey. You will manage daily site operations, coordinate trades, and drive the programme while ensuring safety and quality.

The role requires coordinating subcontractors, maintaining safety compliance, and effective communication with the client and project team. Weekend availability is essential for the seven-week duration.

Qualifications

• Must hold Site Management certifications (SMSTS, CSCS Black, First Aid at Work)
• Proven refurbishment project management experience
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and site procedures
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Available to commit to the full 7-week programme including most weekends

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of the site and workforce
• Overseeing subcontractors and ensuring programme milestones are achieved
• Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings
• Monitoring health & safety performance and ensuring compliance with all site procedures
• Managing quality control and snagging processes
• Liaising with the client, project team and other stakeholders
• Maintaining site records, permits and reporting requirements
• Ensuring works are completed on time, safely and to specification
