InVision Group in Bognor Regis, West Sussex is seeking an experienced Freelance Setting Out Engineer for an 8-week contract on a £70m industrial warehouse development. Immediate start.

The role requires precise setting out, surveying, and close collaboration with the site and engineering teams to maintain programme accuracy. You will deliver grid setting out, holding bolts, site records, and as-built information while adhering to project specifications and safety standards on a major Tier 1

Qualifications

• Experience as Setting Out Engineer for a Main Contractor.
• Experience on industrial, commercial or logistics developments.
• CSCS Card is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Setting out grid lines for the construction works.

• Carrying out setting out and surveying duties across the project.

Freelance Setting Out Engineer

Bognor Regis, West Sussex

£300 - £350 per day (CIS)

Immediate Start - Wednesday 14th October | 8-Week Contract

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join one of the UK's leading £1bn turnover Main Contractors on a £70m new build industrial warehouse development in Bognor Regis.

This is an 8-week freelance contract on a major industrial project currently in the groundworks phase. You'll be responsible for delivering accurate setting out across the site, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of this industrial warehouse project.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting out grid lines for the construction works.
• Setting out holding down bolts with a high degree of accuracy.
• Carrying out setting out and surveying duties across the project.
• Producing and maintaining accurate site records and as-built information.
• Working closely with the site management and engineering teams to ensure works are delivered to programme.
• Ensuring all setting out is completed in accordance with project specifications and drawings.
• Supporting quality control procedures throughout the construction process.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Setting Out Engineer for a Main Contractor.
• Experience on industrial, commercial or logistics developments.
• Proficient in the use of the latest robotic surveying equipment (Leica, Trimble or Topcon).
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of setting out techniques and surveying principles.
• CSCS Card (essential).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
