Job summary

Insite International in Manchester is seeking a Setting Out Engineer to join a 5-month RC frame project. Immediate start available. You will set out frames, inspect surveys, and ensure alignment with drawings and specs while coordinating with the site team.

Responsibilities include operating surveying tools, liaising with subcontractors, and maintaining quality and safety standards on site. This role offers a contract-based engagement with ongoing opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer.
• Experience working on RC Frame / reinforced concrete projects.
• Previous experience on large-scale civil engineering or construction projects.
• Proficient with Leica, Trimble or equivalent surveying equipment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Valid CSCS Card - Essential.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a team.

The Role

• Accurate setting out of RC frames, structures, foundations and associated works
• Carrying out site surveys and producing accurate as-built records
• Ensuring construction is delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and required tolerances
• Providing technical engineering support to the site management team
• Operating, maintaining and managing surveying equipment
• Liaising with subcontractors, supervisors and other project stakeholders
