Job summary

cobaltrecruitment is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager for a £5m Cat B commercial fit-out in St Albans. The role runs for ~6 months starting December, with Monday–Friday working and occasional weekend work.

You will manage day-to-day site operations, coordinating around 20 operatives, ensuring safety, programme adherence and quality, and maintaining RAMS/docs. SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering commercial Cat A/B fit-out projects.
• Confident managing a busy live site with around 20 operatives or more.
• Organised and proactive with day-to-day ownership of the project.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations and 20+ operatives/subcontractors.
• Coordinate trades and keep works on programme.
• Oversee site logistics, welfare, RAMS and documentation.
• Maintain safety standards and quality to specifications.
• Liaise with Project Manager and project team.
• Handle weekendWork as required by programme.
