Job summary

Anderselite in Holywell is seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join a major civils infrastructure project. Based on site in Holywell, you will manage commercial aspects of civil packages, including subcontractor procurement, cost control, valuations, and contract administration.

The role requires strong knowledge of civil engineering works, NEC contracts, and the ability to manage a substantial budget over the remaining two years on site.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in civil engineering quantity surveying.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial management.
• Experience in managing large-scale civils projects (£40m+).
• Client-facing and excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in cost forecasting and budget management.

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontractor quotations, orders, and payments.
• Monitor and control project costs and cash flow forecasts.
• Prepare and submit monthly payment applications and valuations.
• Administer contract change control processes, including Early Warnings and Compensation Events.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment on commercial matters.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards.
• Support the transition to infrastructure packages in the later stages of the project.

Freelance Quantity Surveyor - Holywell - Civils - £400/420 per day Outside IR35

Working Pattern: 4 days on site, 1 day WFH
Contract Duration: Approximately 2 years remaining on site
Project Value: £40-50 million spend remaining, with general civils packages currently and infrastructure packages commencing in 9 to 12 months
