Job summary

Anderselite is seeking a Freelance Quantity Surveyor for a major civils infrastructure project based in Holywell. The role focuses on commercial management, including subcontractor procurement, cost control, valuations, and contract administration on a £40-50 million remaining spend over about two years on site.

The position requires strong civil engineering knowledge, client-facing interaction, and adherence to industry standards; 4 days on site with 1 day WFH.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years experience in civil engineering quantity surveying.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial management.
• Experience in managing large-scale civils projects (£40m+).

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontractor quotations, orders, and payments.
• Monitor and control project costs and cash flow forecasts.
• Prepare and submit monthly payment applications and valuations.
• Administer contract change control processes, including Early Warnings and Compensation Events.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment on commercial matters.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards.
• Support the transition to infrastructure packages in the later stages of the project.

Working Pattern: 4 days on site, 1 day WFH

Contract Duration: Approximately 2 years remaining on site

Project Value: £40-50 million spend remaining, with general civils packages currently and infrastructure packages commencing in 9 to 12 months
