Job summary

We Are Footprint is seeking a Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support a major data centre development in London Docklands. You will manage commercial delivery for the cladding subcontract package on a live project.

The ideal candidate has a strong subcontracting background, experience in cladding or façades, and can work independently to control costs, perform valuations, variations, and assist final accounts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction.
• Experience managing subcontract packages, ideally cladding or façade.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
• Experience with valuations, variations, cost reporting and final accounts.
• Able to work independently and hit the ground running on a live project.

Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial aspects of the cladding subcontract package.
• Cost control, valuations and variations.
• Preparing and submitting interim applications for payment.
• Managing subcontractor accounts and payments.
• Reviewing costs against budget and identifying potential commercial risks.
• Supporting final accounts and resolving any commercial issues.
• Working closely with the project and commercial teams to ensure the package is delivered within budget.
