Job summary

Visit.org is seeking an experienced Freelance Event Specialist to manage logistics for in-person events in Winnersh, England, United Kingdom. The role is on-site, per-event, with flexibility for nights and weekend work, and requires strong English communication and customer-service focus.

You will coordinate planning meetings, setup and teardown, staff management, guest check-in, and post-event wrap-up, traveling locally as needed to deliver high-quality experiences for partners and attendees.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and strong communication skills.
• Based in Winnersh, England, United Kingdom.
• Schedule flexibility for per-event contracts.
• Experience with large-scale events and intimate executive events.
• Proven ability to build relationships and deliver high-quality customer experience.
• Willing to travel locally and work nights/weekends as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all event details, ship materials, and staff for each event; on-site hands-on role.
• Join virtual planning meetings with partners and Visit.org teams.
• Set up, align with onsite team, tear down, and ensure high-quality customer experience.
• Act as Visit.org’s representative, leader, and problem solver at events.
• Manage check-in and warmly welcome guests.
• Handle issues, escalate to Events Team when needed.
• Break down after events and repack/ship materials.
• Pack supplies and prepare shipping labels.
• Travel to various areas of the local region.
