Job summary

Wordbank in the United Kingdom is seeking freelance subtitlers to join a dedicated team working on content for a major streaming client. You will translate, subtitle and QA AV trailer assets in line with client guidelines.

We require native fluency in the listed languages, 5 years subtitling experience, and proficiency with Subtitle Edit. This project runs seasonally with tight deadlines and payments via Wise or bank transfer.

Qualifications

• 5 years of subtitling experience
• Native fluency in one of the listed languages
• High level of English

Responsibilities

• Subtitling & Translation of AV Trailers
• Translate actor dialogue in a trailer conforming to visual and technical specifications and deliver as an SRT
• Translate on screen text
• Translate and suggest forced narratives (a text overlay that communicates plot pertinent, on-screen information)
