Job summary

EKFB is seeking a freelance Site Engineer with highways experience to join the Brackley area. You will oversee construction activities, liaise with subcontractors and Works Managers, check drawings and site reports, and ensure compliance with project plans.

Responsibilities include setting out, as-built surveys, requisitions, permits, and quality control of both subcontracted and self-delivered work. CSCS card and UK driving licence are required for this role, which operates within HS2 civil

Qualifications

• Experience in highways and drainage works is essential.
• Knowledge of site engineering activities and construction supervision.
• CSCS card and UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities ensuring compliance with plans and drawings.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and Works Managers; review site reports.
• Check design documents; manage packages to meet specs, budgets and timelines.
• Provide technical advice and resolve on-site issues.
• Basic setting out and as-built survey; place requisitions and permits.
• Quality control on subcontracted and self-delivered work.
