Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Freelance Finishing Manager to oversee the final finishes on a construction project and to ensure a seamless handover to the client.

This hands-on contract role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to coordinate multiple trades, and a commitment to quality and safety on site. You will work closely with the Site Manager to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Finishing Manager on construction projects.
Strong eye for detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
SMSTS or SSSTS preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee all finishing trades including painting, decorating, flooring, carpentry, and snagging.
Manage and coordinate subcontractors to ensure timely completion.
Carry out detailed snagging inspections and ensure defects are resolved promptly.
Maintain high standards of quality control across all finishing works.
Work closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager to meet deadlines.
Ensure health & safety regulations are followed on site.
Assist with final handover and client inspections.
