Job description

People’s Pharmacy Limited is a multi-site pharmacy and retail business based in Bermuda.

Role Description

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accounts Assistant will be responsible for managing the Local Accounts Payables ledger (Bermudian Invoices), including related reconciliations, as well as multi-currency bank reconciliations.

This role is remote, and the assistant is expected to work Bermuda hours (GMT –3 hours) at least 3 days a week.

Responsibilities:
  1. Ownership of the Finance Inbox, ensuring timely management of all received emails.
  2. Ownership of the Invoices Inbox, ensuring timely posting of received invoices.
  3. Processing of local Bermuda invoices.
  4. Preparation of weekly and monthly vendor payment lists.
  5. Allocation of payments in QuickBooks.
  6. Reconciliation of supplier (vendor) statements.
  7. Conducting multi-currency bank reconciliations for 10 bank accounts.
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum of 3 years' experience in an accounts assistant role.
  2. Experience with accounts payable.
  3. Comfortable working with multiple currencies.
  4. Experience working across multiple companies.
  5. Extensive experience with bank and other reconciliations.
  6. Attention to detail and accuracy in accounting data.
  7. Familiarity with QuickBooks desktop preferred.
  8. Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues while working remotely.
