Linear Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Freelance Assistant Site Manager for a new build housing development in County Durham. You will work under the Site Manager to oversee day-to-day site activities, ensuring safety, programme adherence and quality across trades.

The ideal candidate has prior experience on housing projects, strong knowledge of build processes, and a proven track record coordinating subcontractors and site activities on site teams.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager on new build housing developments
• Strong knowledge of residential construction and build processes
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and site activities
• Solid understanding of health & safety requirements

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Manager with day-to-day running of the development
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and site trades
• Monitor progress against the programme
• Ensure works meet required quality standards
• Carry out regular site inspections and quality checks
• Maintain health & safety standards across the site
• Coordinate deliveries, materials and site logistics
• Attend site meetings and provide progress updates
• Maintain site documentation and records
• Collaborate with the wider project team to meet programme targets
