Linear Recruitment is seeking a Freelance Assistant Site Manager to join a New Build Housing development in County Durham. You will work with the Site Manager to keep works running safely, on programme and to the required quality.

The role emphasizes coordinating subcontractors, monitoring progress, and maintaining health and safety standards, with regular site meetings and documentation oversight.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assistant Site Manager on new build housing developments.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction and build processes.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and site activities.
• Good understanding of health and safety standards; SMSTS/CSCS/First Aid preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the development
• Supervising and coordinating subcontractors and site trades
• Monitoring progress against the programme
• Ensuring works are completed to the required quality standards
• Carrying out regular site inspections and quality checks
• Maintaining strong health & safety standards across the site
• Coordinating deliveries, materials and site logistics
• Attending site meetings and providing progress updates
• Ensuring relevant site documentation and records are maintained
• Working closely with the Site Manager and wider project team to ensure programme targets are achieved
