Job summary

Assistant Site Manager position on a housing development in Burnley, overseeing construction activities and assisting the Site Manager to ensure the programme and budgets are met in line with health, safety and environmental requirements.

You will supervise contractors, manage materials and calls-offs, and contribute to delivering high-quality homes with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and timely handover.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role on new build housing developments.
• Experience delivering high safety and quality standards on site.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisation and planning capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support Site Manager to manage construction phase to meet programme and budget requirements.
• Supervise contractors and labour on site to ensure high workmanship standards.
• Manage materials and subcontractor call-offs to keep site operations efficient.
• Ensure works align with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Attend weekly subcontractor coordination meetings and development team meetings to discuss programme, quality, cost.
• Assist with handover pack information and customer defect follow-up post completion.
