Job summary

Raylo is seeking a senior Risk Operations leader in Belfast to manage fraud investigations, underwriting referrals, and risk policy development. You will guide a small team, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and ensure robust fraud detection as part of a rotating US-night schedule.

The role requires strong analytical skills, KYC tool experience, and a drive to innovate risk processes in a fast-growing subscription fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in credit underwriting, fraud prevention, or risk management within an FCA-regulated consumer finance business.
• Proficiency in KYC verification and fraud detection tools, such as CIFAS, ComplyAdvantage, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in Google Sheets/Excel and data visualisation tools.
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to spot anomalies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
• Problem-solving and adaptability in a fast-moving environment.
• Passion for innovation and continuous improvement in risk detection strategies.
• Total commitment to the US night operation with a rotating 4 days on, 4 days off shift pattern (1pm–5am).

Responsibilities

• Manage customer and business application referrals using fraud, credit, and KYC platforms.
• Lead fraud investigations, gather evidence, and ensure compliant decision-making.
• Optimize risk workflows to increase efficiency and approval rates.
• Monitor risk trends and emerging fraud tactics to refine policies.
• Develop fraud detection strategies with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor and develop junior team members within Risk Operations.
• Ensure flexibility in Risk Operations with evening or weekend work as required.
