Fraud Investigator – Accidental Damage

Manchester

£24,000 - £29,500

Barker Munro Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a Motor Claims handler to build their career in the Fraud arena.

As a Fraud Investigator, you will be responsible for protecting the business and customers from the impact of fraud. You will investigate a caseload of suspected fraudulent Accidental Damage claims by conducting telephone interviews with customers to gather crucial information. Collaborating with internal colleagues, stakeholders, and third-party suppliers will enable you to evaluate and investigate evidence, allowing you to make informed decisions on each claim.

We are seeking candidates with Motor Claims experience from an insurer. Previous experience managing a caseload of fraud claims is an advantage. A strong understanding of FCA, Consumer Duty, FOS, and the motor insurance industry is essential.

Applicants must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with negotiation and influencing skills. You will need analytical skills to identify inconsistencies and trends within the available evidence and possess excellent problem-solving abilities.

The first 3 months will be office-based for training and support. Upon completing 3 months of service and subject to your performance, hybrid working can begin with 4 days from home and 1 day a week in the office if you wish.
