Trainee Desktop InvestigatorHome Investigations is a key part of Sedgwick, offering tailored, cost-effective fraud prevention. We don’t use a one-size-fits-all model. Instead, we rely on skilled people to assess potentially fraudulent claims. The work is varied, challenging, and never dull. As we grow, we’re looking for new talent to join our team.
The Trainee Desktop Investigator handles claims for a few clients using conversation management via video and telephone. You need to be a confident communicator and comfortable with technology. The role includes ongoing support and coaching, with a focus on developing skills in fraud investigation.
You will manage domestic claims identified as potentially suspect, conducting investigations, enquiries, and validation activities. Proactivity is essential, maintaining contact with policyholders and ensuring accuracy. You’ll work with stakeholders to validate claims and may liaise with the police for swift settlements.
Responsibilities include staying updated on legislation, issuing repudiation and fraud outcome letters, handling complaints within FCA guidelines, and using data and technology to identify and manage fraud. You will report fraudulent activity to relevant bodies.
