Job summary

Jacobson Garner is seeking a Fraud Policy Manager in London to lead APP fraud prevention and reimbursement policy across industry groups. The role requires coordinating workstreams, drafting policy papers and engaging senior stakeholders with clear, evidence-based analyses.

You will chair cross-industry groups, track evolving scam trends and contribute to regulatory discussions with PSR, FCA and other bodies, while working a hybrid schedule with 10 in-office days monthly.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in APP fraud, scam prevention or reimbursement.
• Strong drafting, ability to analyse evidence carefully, and have the presence to represent the industry with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own industry workstreams on APP fraud prevention and reimbursement, turning strategic priorities into coordinated action.
• Chair working groups of banks and payment firms, building consensus on reimbursement, prevention controls and scam journeys.
• Prepare evidence and analysis for industry positions on APP regulation, reimbursement and new legislation.
• Draft consultation responses, policy papers and senior briefings that make complex APP issues clear and persuasive.
• Extensive external engagement across PSR, FCA, HM Treasury, the Financial Ombudsman, Pay.UK, law enforcement and consumer groups.
• Track emerging scam types and payment journeys to find gaps and opportunities for collective action.
