Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking a FRA Carpenter to join the planned works team. Site-based within Birmingham, Wolverhampton & Walsall area, you will install fire doors and carry out remedial works in social housing tenancies.

The role offers stable, long-term work, a competitive salary, and a 39-hour week Monday to Friday with a DBS check and full UK driving licence required.

Qualifications

• Installation of fire doors and remedial works in social housing environments.
• Experience working in social housing with tenants is desirable.
• Ability to use job tickets or handheld devices daily.
• Collaborative work with other trades and the broader site or contract team.
• May be required to complete a skills test, including fire door installation.
• Adherence to high health and safety standards at all times.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• DBS check is required.

Responsibilities

• Install fire doors and complete remedial works within social housing settings.
• Work with tenants directly when needed and support the social housing contract.
• Use job tickets/handheld devices to manage daily tasks.
• Coordinate with other trades and the wider site or contract team.
• Complete any required skills tests related to fire door installation.
• Maintain Novus’ safety standards at all times and adhere to procedures.
• Hold a valid UK driving licence for on-site duties.
• This role is subject to a DBS check.

This is an exciting opportunity for a FRA Carpenter to join Novus Property Solutions, planned works team providing high-quality Fire Door installation and remedial works within Social Housing tenanted properties

An outline of your responsibilities and experience

• Installation of fire doors and completion of remedial works within a social housing environment
• Previous experience in social housing, including working directly with tenants, is desirable
• Ability to work from job tickets or handheld devices on a daily basis
• Work collaboratively with other trades and the wider site or contract team, while managing your own workload effectively
• Successful candidates may be required to complete a skills test, including the installation of a fire door

• Full UK driving licence is essential
