Job summary

RC Fornax Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced FPGA/Firmware engineer to design and develop solutions for advanced digital systems. The role requires deriving architectures from system requirements and working across the full development lifecycle in a hybrid setup.

You will collaborate with Systems, Hardware and Software teams, implement high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet and JESD, and contribute to testing, validation and qualification activities.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND, degree or equivalent industry experience required.
• Strong FPGA and firmware design experience essential.
• Knowledge of high-speed interfaces and DO-254 processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing FPGA/Firmware solutions for advanced digital systems.
• Deriving firmware requirements and architectures from system-level requirements.
• Working across the full development lifecycle, from concept through to verification and integration.
• Developing high-speed interface solutions including PCIe, Ethernet and JESD.
• Collaborating with Systems, Hardware and Software teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Supporting testing, validation and qualification activities.
